I am an American citizen with a full-time job writing computer software.

Most of the time I’m generally quite happy with my life. And then I go to work and feel completely miserable and powerless, like I’m being slowly crushed to death or the life is being sucked out of me by the vampiric fluorescent lighting. It’s not a good feeling, and anyone who’s ever had a terrible job or just been unhappy at work knows what I’m talking about.

This site will be my quest to become sovereign — my quest to become an autonomous Human being.

With my peculiar assembly of skills and knowledge, many of which would fall into the “geek” category, I think I can do it. I’ve already started on the first steps — I’ve formed my own company, started a fiction magazine that should finally have a small number of copies printed next month, and started a few websites that are likely to prove to be useful to people. The trick now is going to be turning what I have, what I know, what I can do, and what I can create into something that allows me to survive on my own terms.
