Let The Challenge Begin!
Mar 2nd, 2007 by Xangis
Today I’ve launched three “Indie Challenge” sites:
The Indie Band Challenge: http://indiebandchallenge.com
The Indie Film Challenge: http://indiefilmchallenge.com
The Indie Writer Challenge: http://indiewriterchallenge.com
Every month I’ll be giving away cash prizes to the two highest rated bands, films, and writers, and we’ll have a different batch of contributions each month. The prizes start out at $20, which isn’t much (but it will buy a week’s groceries if used well), and visitors are welcome contribute to the “pot” to raise the monthly prize. There’s no limit to how large the prizes can grow, so the more visitors and contributors that show up, the better things will be for the winners.
Each registered user on each site will have the opportunity to rate that month’s content, so stop over and sign up. You’ll get free videos, music, and stories and be supporting the creative arts in the process.
If you’re selected for voting, you’ll get great exposure even if you don’t win the prize.
Please tell all of your friends, post links wherever you can, and tell anyone you know who might be interested. Questions and suggestions are welcome, so feel free to email [jchampion] [at] [zetacentauri.com].
I’ve also done a handful of other things today - finished listing “White Fang” on fictionclassics.com, sampled all of the internal patches on my TG-55 synthesizer, cleaned up the visuals on my sample trigger application, signed up for the eBay affiliate program, added a few synths to soundprogramming.net, and listened to a few audio books, but the Indie Challenge sites are the big deal of the day.
